the Tater Baker B-Field was Justin Taylor and Tim Boychuk. These

Boychuk nailed Taylor
to the tree and never looked back.
Boychuk left first by a bunch
and took the round with a 5.91 at 232.39. Taylor got his moneys
worth with a 6.30, 222.40.
Pair two pitted Shawn
Bowen and Utah fuel vet Garth Widdison.
Bowen was away first and never
looked back. His 5.80 at 246.48 def. Widdison's 6.74 at 177.11.
Next up was Brad Thompson
and Wally Giavia.
Thompson banked 6 hundredths
on the tree and just drove away.
Thompson took the win
with a 5.80 at 229.20 def. Giavia's 5.97 at 229.59.
Out next was Kris Krabill
and Bill Windham.
Windham left first with
Krabill on his tail.
Krabill took the lead after the
60' mark and appeared to be pulling away when he encountered
problems allowing Windham to pass for the win with a 6.15 at
Car Main Event round one
The quick 8 field was
opened by Matt Bynum and Mark Sanders.
Bynum got a slight jump
on the lights.
In a very close race
Bynum's 5.75 at 254.71 def. Sanders 5.77 at 245.58.
Relying totally on the
track lighting for photos, pair two pitted Jeff Arend and John
Arend got a slight jump
at the hit and he needed it.

In another really close race
Arend took the win on a baby holeshot with a .094, 5.70 at 249.86
to Weaver's quicker .112, 5.69 at 254.52.
Pair three featured Dan
Horan Jr. and Bobby Cottrell.
Cottrell left first by a bunch
(.136 to a .363) leaving Horan the Herculean challenge of catching
him. At the other end it was Cottrell in a huge hole shot win.
His 5.84 at 238.76 defeated a much quicker 5.73 at 251.25.
The final pair of the
opening stanza was Billy Morris and Jason Rupert.
Rupert nailed Morris
to the tree (.057 to a .151) and color him gone.
Rupert stopped the clocks with
a 5.64 at 256.50 which was low ET and Top Speed of the round.
Morris pulled the plug coasting to a 7.12 at 132.33.
