"THE DRAG RACER'S BIBLE"

The Standard 1320 eGroup was founded in early 1998 by myself and a few friends, since then it has grown to more than 225 members. The members' ages range from 20 to over 75 years old. They represent chassis builders, hero drivers, car owners, engine builders, manufacturers, photographers, writers and fans like me. One of the intents of the group is to preserve the history of the "Drag News Years" (1955 through 1972). Our common bond is a love for these early years of drag racing, when cars were unique and backyard engineering was the norm.

This CD preservation of Drag News (every page - every photo) is the culmination of a dream that all Standard 1320 members shared. I would like to personally thank member Dennis Holding of the Frantic Four "Weekly, Rivero, Fox & Holding" AA/FD for not only funding this project but actually making it happen. In addition, a special thanks to Don Garlits and others for loaning us their extensive collection of Drag News so we could make this historical project a reality.
