- "Ramchargers" AA/FD
IN
STOCK
It's no secret
that the Michigan based "Ramchargers" were the definitive
pioneers of the Chrysler 426 Hemi engine (aka "late model"
& "Elephant") for drag racing. Between 1965 and
1969 the team had a few 426 powered AA/FD cars piloted by the
likes of Chuck Kurzawa and the late Leroy Goldstein. This is
a diecast of their 1967-1969 car driven first by Kurzawa and
finally by Goldstein. The paint job and signage on the model
is from 1969.
The Ramchargers dragster includes
such details as: - Aerodynamic die-cast 184-inch
wheelbase design
- Removable Kruse upper body panel exposes detailed interior
- - 426 Chrysler hemi engine that's fully wired
with ignition wires and flexible fuel lines -
Hollow simulated M&H slicks on five spoke Halibrand mag wheels - Detailed tubular framework and fuel tank detail - Fabric seat belts and shoulder harness with photo
etched buckles - Color scheme detailed from actual
vintage racing pictures and reference data from the Ramchargers,
Bob Plumer and WDIFL.com.
