This is just a small tribute to members of our drag racing family who are no longer with us. People that contributed to our sport (specifically dragsters) from 1950 to 1979. They are the drivers, owners, tuners, photographers, representives and manufactures who made it all happen in the dragster and funny car classes.

In no way do we want to slight or diminish the contributions of those who ran other classes or came into Top Fuel after 1979, but this site has a time line and a dragster format and that will dictate the names on this page as well. Hopefully websites featuring other classes of the era will follow suit and start such a list so no one is left unremembered.

Please e-mail me anybody you feel should be included here and it will be done. I know there are names still missing. If you have one please submit to: Remembered

Those Remembered - Drag Boats

Don:

This list is the most simple, yet eloquent example of why I felt a drag racing archive was so necessary. Each of those -- and the many others we've lost -- made a unique and worthy contribution to all that is drag racing today. While each of us might be able
to recall personal experiences with many of those listed, their full history -- and thus place in the quilt of all that is our sport -- is pretty much lost.

Yer bud,
Thunder (Jon Lundberg)
